WhatsApp AI agent

WhatsApp chatbot development for AI agents that answer in Arabic, English and Urdu

Safock is a WhatsApp chatbot development company that builds AI agents on the official WhatsApp Business Platform. A WhatsApp AI agent reads customer messages, answers from your own data, books appointments and looks up orders, then passes the chat to a person when one is needed. We build them for businesses in the US, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Pakistan whose customers already message them on WhatsApp and expect an answer outside office hours.

/ The problem

What this fixes

  • 01

    Messages pile up after hours

Customers write on WhatsApp at night and over the weekend. By the time your team replies the next morning, some of them have already bought elsewhere.

  • 02

Staff typing the same answers all day

Prices, timings, locations and order status. Your team answers the same handful of questions over and over, and the conversations that need real attention wait in the queue.

  • 03

    Customers who switch languages mid-chat

A customer in Riyadh or Karachi may start in English, move to Arabic or Urdu, and type Urdu in Latin letters. A bot that handles only one language well loses them.

  • 04

Conversations that never reach the CRM

Chats live on a shared phone, so leads go unlogged, follow-ups slip, and managers can't see what was promised to whom.

/ What we build

WhatsApp AI agent, built for your systems

  • 01

    Customer service agent

Answers common questions from your documents, price lists and live systems, in the customer's language, at any hour.

  • 02

    Appointment booking

Checks availability in your calendar or booking system, confirms the slot in the chat, and sends reminders through approved templates. A good fit for clinics, salons and showrooms.

  • 03

    Order status and follow-up

Looks up orders in your system, sends confirmations and delivery updates, and asks for feedback once the order arrives.

  • 04

    Lead qualification and CRM logging

Asks your qualifying questions, writes the contact and a short summary into your CRM, and routes promising leads to a salesperson.

  • 05

    Human hand-off inbox

A shared inbox where staff take over any chat with its full history, then hand it back to the agent when they're done.

  • 06

    Template campaigns to opted-in contacts

Reminders, re-engagement and announcements sent with approved message templates to customers who agreed to hear from you.

/ How it works

The detail behind it

How a WhatsApp AI agent works on the Business Platform

We build on the WhatsApp Business Platform through Meta's Cloud API, the official route for businesses that need automation at volume. Your number is registered to a verified Meta business account, incoming messages reach our service through a webhook, and the agent replies through the same API. The WhatsApp Business app on a phone can't run this kind of automation, and unofficial tools that script WhatsApp Web put the number at risk of a ban.

Two platform rules shape every design. When a customer messages you, a 24-hour customer service window opens, and inside it the agent can reply freely. Outside that window the business can only start a conversation with a pre-approved message template, such as an appointment reminder or a delivery update, and only with contacts who have opted in. Meta charges for template messages by category and the recipient's country, so we decide early which messages need templates.

We have shipped this message path in public code. WhatsApp-Me, Safock's open-source plugin under the MIT licence, runs two-way messaging between an AI coding agent and a phone over the WhatsApp Cloud API, with verified webhooks carrying replies back to the agent.

What to ask a WhatsApp chatbot development company before you sign

Most WhatsApp bot problems trace back to decisions made before the build. These are the questions we would put to any vendor, including us.

  • Does the agent run on Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform, or on a tool that scripts WhatsApp Web?
  • Are the Meta business account, the phone number and the message templates registered to your company?
  • Which messages need pre-approved templates, and what will Meta charge for them in your customers' countries?
  • When a chat moves to a person, does your team see the full history and a summary?
  • Was the agent tested on real messages in the languages your customers use, including Roman Urdu?
  • Where are transcripts stored, who can read them, and when are they deleted?

Arabic, English and Urdu, with a person one tap away

Customers in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Pakistan rarely stick to one language. We set the agent to reply in the language the customer writes in, covering Arabic, English, Urdu script and Roman Urdu, and we test it on real message samples from your business before launch. For IJT Pakistan, the country's largest student network, our team built JamiatGPT, an AI assistant that answers in Pakistani languages.

Hand-off is part of the design from day one. The agent passes the chat to a person when the customer asks for one, when the message is a complaint or a payment dispute, or when it isn't confident in its answer. Your staff pick up the conversation in a shared inbox with the full history and a short summary, and the agent stays out of the chat until they hand it back.

Use cases for bookings, orders and leads

WhatsApp suits jobs where customers expect a quick reply and the answer lives in one of your systems. These are the patterns we plan around.

Every conversation is logged to your CRM or database with the contact, the outcome and a summary, so sales and service teams follow up from one record instead of scrolling through a phone.

  • Clinics and hospitals: book, move or cancel appointments, send reminders, and answer questions about timings and departments
  • Retail and e-commerce: order status, delivery updates, return requests and product questions answered from your catalog
  • Real estate and showrooms: qualify leads, share brochures, book viewings and log each enquiry in the CRM
  • Schools and training providers: admissions questions, fee reminders and class schedules
  • B2B suppliers: order confirmations, dispatch updates and payment reminders to trade customers

Data protection and hosting in the Gulf and Pakistan

WhatsApp messages carry personal data, so data protection belongs in the plan from the first week. In Saudi Arabia that means the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and questions about where data is stored and processed. The UAE has its own federal data protection law, and regulated sectors such as healthcare and banking add rules of their own in every market.

We treat these as design decisions: which data the agent may read, how long transcripts are kept, which region hosts the database, and which model provider processes the text. We build to the requirements your legal or compliance team sets. We don't give legal advice or certify compliance.

/ FAQ

Questions buyers ask us

Do we need the WhatsApp Business API to run an AI agent?

Yes. Automation at this level runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform, which most businesses now reach through Meta's Cloud API. You need a Meta business account and a phone number that isn't active on the regular WhatsApp app, and business verification raises your messaging limits. We handle the setup with you, and the account stays in your company's name.

Can the agent message customers first?

Yes, within WhatsApp's rules. Outside the 24-hour customer service window, a business can start a conversation only with a pre-approved template, and only with customers who opted in. We write templates for reminders, confirmations and follow-ups, submit them to Meta for approval, and add opt-in capture to your forms and checkout.

What does a WhatsApp AI agent cost?

Build cost depends on the use cases, the number of systems the agent reads from or writes to, the languages you need and how hand-off works for your team. Running costs include Meta's template message fees, AI model usage and hosting, and all three rise with volume. You get a fixed build price after discovery.

Can it understand Roman Urdu and mixed-language messages?

Current language models handle Arabic, English, Urdu script and Roman Urdu reasonably well, including messages that mix them. That is a starting point, so we test the agent on real messages from your business, tune its instructions, and add a hand-off rule for any message it can't read with confidence.

Will our team still be able to reply manually?

Yes. Staff work from a shared inbox where they can see every conversation, take over any chat and hand it back to the agent when they finish. The agent also passes chats to a person on its own when a customer asks for one or the request falls outside what it is allowed to handle.

Where is our customer data stored?

Where you decide. We can host the agent and its conversation database in a cloud region that suits your obligations, including Gulf regions for Saudi and UAE businesses, or on your own servers. Messages still pass through Meta's infrastructure and the model provider processes the text, so we review both with your team during discovery.
