n8n automation agency

An n8n automation agency for workflows you host and own

n8n is a workflow automation tool with public source code that you can run on your own servers, and Safock is an n8n automation agency that designs, hosts and maintains those workflows for you. Our n8n development services cover self-hosted n8n on your cloud account, AI agent workflows, custom code nodes, and migrations from Zapier or Make. They suit teams whose automation bill grows with every step, or whose data has to stay in infrastructure they control.

/ The problem

What this fixes

  • 01

The automation bill grows with every step

Zapier and Make price by the tasks or operations a workflow runs. A busy multi-step workflow can cost more each month than the server it would need to run on.

  • 02

Customer data passes through someone else's servers

Hosted automation tools process your records on their infrastructure. For finance, health or government-adjacent work, that raises questions about where data lives and who can reach it.

  • 03

The logic has outgrown the visual builder

Loops, lookups and custom calculations turn into long chains of workaround steps. Each one is another place for the workflow to break.

  • 04

Nobody notices when a workflow stops

A credential expires on Friday, and the first sign is a customer asking on Tuesday why they never got their invoice.

/ What we build

n8n automation, built for your systems

  • 01

    Self-hosted n8n setup

We install n8n on your AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or VPS account using Docker, with a PostgreSQL database, HTTPS, backups and access restricted to your team.

  • 02

    Workflow development

We build the workflows from a written process map, test them against real sample data, and document what each one does and who owns it.

  • 03

    AI agent workflows

We use n8n's AI Agent node to connect a language model to your tools and documents, with a human approval step wherever the agent would change data or contact a customer.

  • 04

    Custom code and nodes

Code nodes in JavaScript or Python handle the logic the standard nodes cannot. For a system with no ready connector, we call its API directly or write a custom node.

  • 05

    Zapier and Make migration

We inventory your Zaps or scenarios, rebuild them in n8n, run both side by side, and switch over once the outputs match.

  • 06

    Monitoring and upgrades

Error workflows send alerts when a run fails. We apply n8n version upgrades on a test copy first, then roll them out to production.

/ How it works

The detail behind it

When n8n is a better fit than Zapier or Make

n8n earns its place on three counts. You control the data, because a self-hosted instance runs inside your own cloud account. Running costs stay predictable at volume, because self-hosting costs you the server, and n8n's own hosted plans count whole workflow executions instead of individual steps. And when a step needs real logic, a Code node lets you write it in JavaScript or Python inside the workflow.

Zapier still makes sense for a small team with a handful of low-volume workflows and nobody to look after a server. We will tell you if that describes you. Some clients keep simple Zaps and move only their heavy or sensitive workflows to n8n.

One licensing point to check early. n8n is distributed under a fair-code licence that allows use inside your own business. If you plan to offer n8n-powered automation to your own customers as a product, review the licence terms first, and we can help you read them against your plans.

Self-hosted n8n on your cloud, set up for production

A test install on a laptop and a production instance are different jobs. For production we run n8n in Docker with PostgreSQL as the database, put it behind HTTPS, and restrict the editor to your team. Where workflow volume is high, n8n's queue mode adds Redis and separate worker processes so long jobs do not block new ones.

n8n encrypts stored credentials with an encryption key set on your server. We generate that key, store it in your secrets manager, and include it in the backup plan, since losing it means re-entering every credential. API keys belong to your company's accounts, with the narrowest permissions each workflow needs. If you operate in Saudi Arabia or handle regulated data, we plan hosting region and data residency with you at the start, with Saudi PDPL among the topics to review.

  • Docker deployment with PostgreSQL and scheduled backups
  • HTTPS, restricted editor access and separate production and test instances
  • Encryption key and credentials held in your own secrets store
  • Queue mode with workers when volume calls for it
  • Workflows exported as JSON into your Git repository

AI agents inside n8n workflows

n8n includes an AI Agent node that connects a language model to tools, memory and your documents. A practical use is an agent that reads an incoming email, looks up the customer in your CRM, drafts a reply and waits for a person to approve it before sending. The same pattern works for classifying support tickets, extracting fields from invoices, or answering staff questions from your internal documents.

We keep agents on a short leash. They get only the tools a task needs, every action is logged, and anything that changes a record or reaches a customer passes a human approval step first. When an agent needs more than n8n's nodes can offer, our AI agent team builds it as a separate service that n8n calls.

How our n8n automation agency monitors workflows and migrates from Zapier

Every production workflow gets settings for temporary failures and a route for permanent ones. Nodes that call external APIs retry with a wait between attempts. A shared error workflow catches failed runs and sends the workflow name, the failing step and the input data to the owner on email, Slack or WhatsApp.

Migration starts with an inventory of your Zaps or Make scenarios, ranked by volume and business impact. We rebuild them in n8n, run old and new in parallel on real traffic, compare outputs, then switch off the old version one workflow at a time. Cost depends on how many workflows you have, how complex they are, and the hosting setup you need. You get pricing up front in the proposal and a fixed quote after discovery.

/ FAQ

Questions buyers ask us

Is n8n free to self-host?

The community edition of n8n can be self-hosted for use inside your own business under its fair-code licence, so your main running cost is the server and database. Some team features, such as advanced access controls, need a paid n8n licence. If you plan to sell n8n-based automation to your customers, check the licence terms first. We explain which edition fits during discovery.

How secure is self-hosted n8n?

Security depends on the setup. We run it behind HTTPS, restrict the editor to your team, keep credentials encrypted with a key held in your secrets manager, and give each API key the narrowest permissions it needs. Production and test run as separate instances. Because the instance sits in your cloud account, your data stays in infrastructure you control and in a region you choose.

Can you migrate our Zapier or Make workflows to n8n?

Yes. We list every Zap or scenario, decide which are worth moving, rebuild them in n8n and run both versions in parallel until the outputs match. Then we switch off the old workflow. Simple, low-volume Zaps sometimes stay where they are if moving them saves little. You get a migration report showing what moved and what changed.

Can n8n run AI agents?

Yes. n8n's AI Agent node connects a language model to tools, memory and your documents, so a workflow can read an email, look something up and draft a response. We add a human approval step before any action that changes records or contacts a customer, and log every step the agent takes so you can review it later.

Who handles n8n upgrades after launch?

We do during the support period, and afterwards either we or your team can. n8n ships new versions often, and some change how a node behaves, so each upgrade goes to a test instance first. We run the key workflows there against sample data, then roll the upgrade out to production. Support after launch runs from 30 days to 3+ months, and long-term maintenance covers upgrades and backups if you want it.

What does an n8n automation project cost?

It depends on the number of workflows, their complexity, the systems they connect to, and the hosting you need, from a single server to queue mode with workers. A migration also depends on how many existing Zaps or scenarios you have. Pricing is set out in the proposal, and we give a fixed quote once discovery is complete.
